On Tuesday 26th March, Year 3 and 4 took part in the Blue Planet Live Lesson alongside other school children across the UK. It was a wonderful introduction to our topic ‘Commotion in the Ocean’. Throughout the lesson we discovered important information, not only about the ocean but how plastic pollution is causing a problem in our oceans. This linked very well with our new science topic of ‘Plastic Pollution’ too. Throughout the interactive lesson, we linked up to the Bahamas, where Steve Backshall broadcasted live from under the sea, this gave us a fantastic opportunity to explore the coral and watch Caribbean Reef Sharks swimming in their natural environment. It was a really enjoyable afternoon, we look forward to sharing what we have learnt with you.
