Flu vaccinations for 2 and 3 year olds

We have been asked to share this message with parents by Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board

Children aged 2 or 3 can get a free and painless nasal spray flu vaccine at their GP surgery. Having a flu vaccine is the best way to protect your child against catching or spreading flu this winter.

Flu can be a very unpleasant illness for children. It can lead to serious problems, such as bronchitis and pneumonia.

Young children catch and spread flu very easily. Vaccinating them also protects other members of your family who are vulnerable to flu, including older relatives and people with underlying health conditions.

Your GP surgery will offer flu vaccines to all children who were aged 2 or 3 on August 31 2022. Please take up the invitation for your child, or contact your surgery to book a place on a flu clinic.
