We have had some calls regarding attendance letters that have been sent out this week.
Unfortunately any absence from school, whether that be medical or not, does affect their attendance figure. Any that fall below minimum expected level will receive an awareness letter regardless of reasons given.
At this point it is just to make you aware but if it continues to cause concen we would chase up with further letters and meetings.
If reasons are genuine then please don’t worry as you can show why the child has been off and it is unavoidable. If your child does have the odd day off here and there then it is a chance to put it right.
