YOUR HELP IS NEEDED
Your help is needed, and it will not cost you a penny – everyone of you is entitled to 10 votes to decide who has funding from the Aviva Community Fund. There are over 3,000 good causes vying for funding – most are trying to secure £1,000 and a handful are trying to secure between £10,001 and £25,000. Voting ends on the 20th November 2018.
The running of the theatre relies on the goodwill of volunteers and a handful of part-time staff under the guidance of the Board and the Stiwt’s only full time employee, Rhys Davies, the manager. They have recently successfully raised £10,000 by public donations to carry out maintenance of the four face clock that has not been painted since its refurbishment in 1990.
They have been nominated for the Aviva Community Fund in the £10,001 to £25,000 category and to stand any chance of having the award they need around 6,000 votes by November 20th. This is where you come in!
If the Stiwt is successful in getting the full £25,000 this can be used for match funding for another grant application and the £50,000 would mean that essential maintenance on the fabric of the building could be carried out.
